Right now, you may feel frightened or confused, seeking for firmer footing in a changing world. As a practicing therapist, it is my aim to meet you right where you are. I am committed to help you engage with yourself and make contact with what it is that you are truly longing to grow. Together our focus will be to explore and revise existing narratives and patterns in support of growth.

If you are here in this moment, it is likely because you want to make some changes. It is possible that important changes are already in motion. This may include shifting relationship dynamics, career or family changes, feelings of grief and loss, or concerns with your health and well being. These points of unease may signal the beginning of new developmental stages and possibly an interest in shifting habitual ways of relating to yourself and with others. While transitions can be painful and daunting, they can also help you grow and move toward a more fulfilling life.

How are you wanting to grow?

My integrative, trauma-informed, direct therapeutic approach is designed to tailor each session to the unique needs of my client, with an emphasis on a solid therapeutic relationship as the constant.

My approach is Psychodynamic, Relational, Somatic, and Transpersonal, and I incorporate a number of other evidence-based theoretical frameworks and therapeutic models. I find joy and great value in bringing mindfulness and meditation practices to the work we do together. It is always my goal to provide a calm, supportive, and safe space for exploration and growth. Sometimes the work we do together can feel quite serious. We will also welcome humor so as to balance out the natural intensity of the process without bypassing important material.

The therapeutic relationship is unique. Unlike a conversation between friends, you won't be responsible for my emotional well being. The focus will be on what you are experiencing in your mind and body, how that relates to what you are wanting to shift and grow, and what steps are available to move in this direction. My practice as a therapist is to develop a compassionate and trusting relationship with my client so we can bravely traverse new terrain. In bringing an open heart and curious mind to our work, it is my privilege to listen deeply. I ask questions and offer reflections to help you engage yourself fully and illuminate previously unrecognized obstacles.

Anxiety, depression, and other challenging emotions often surface during difficult transitions. Our work will involve clearly identifying these emotions, learning new ways to respond, and creating opportunities to practice what we learn. Therapy is successful when you are able to internalize the work that we have done together and see the impact of that work in your daily life. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your family, or your relationships, I am here to collaborate with you on your path toward growth and a more satisfying life.

The Therapeutic Relationship

My Approach

My integrative, trauma-informed, direct therapeutic approach is rooted in tailoring each session to the unique needs of my client. I incorporate Somatic Psychology, Client Centered Psychology, Existential Psychology, Psychodynamic Psychology, Family Systems Psychology, and a number of other evidence-based theoretical frameworks and therapeutic models. I enjoy bringing mindfulness and meditation practices to the work.

I provide a calm, grounded, and safe space for exploration and growth. Sometimes the work can feel quite serious; we will also find humor when appropriate, which can balance out some of the intensity without bypassing important material.
